AFTER
As you can see, I took out the shoe rack and replaced it with a revarnished antique galinera, which was originally part of the old living room. This is where we usually put on/take off our shoes.
Here's a closer look:

I also took out some of the dividers and placed an eclectic mix of decor--ceramic vases, candle holders, birds and a birdcage. We kept my mom-in-law's photo albums on the top shelf and placed some of Mitor's business books underneath.
Heart-shaped knobs. Hee.
Remember I told you about placing some knobs on the cabinet doors? Well, it was a choice between round or heart so I went for the heart! Haha, too girly, I admit (sorry, husband), but aminin mo its super kyoooot!
Rundown:
I won't include the prices this time because I can't find my log book, but anyway, everything I bought for this area are around 100-399 pesos only (except for the TV, of course).
